Title: Hi from Los Angeles
Post by: Theresa.Marie on February 19, 2009, 10:14:10 PM
Hi
how is everyone doing today. Im theresa im 21 years old from Los angeles i currently work as a dog groomer and have a huge passion for dogs. I currently own 2 amstaffs and 1 american pit bull. I have been reading about this breed for the past year in search to own one after always hearing my grandfather talk about his canes that he had when he lived in italy. I have narrowed my search down to this breed after looking into the boerboels and the presa canarios. Now i am just on here in search of an amazing breeder and to get some more knowledge from people who own this breed and just not from the books.

here are my babies now
buster - 11 year old male american pit bull

Welcome from Fresno, CA...

I know some people going down to San Diego for a show next month... maybe you should try to go and
see a few CC's.

Hello from Fresno,CA also!

Mario is right, there are several shows you could attend. A breeder in So. Cal you might contact is Mike from Pacifica Cane Corso. He might be your closest contact for Cane Corsos in your area?

Hi Theresa welcome! I too have owned pit bulls and am staffs before my corso...you have made a good choice to get a corso....you will be amazed....my corso is MUCH different than any pit bull or am staff I owned...if you'd like I can elaborate more...I definitely agree you should choose a breeder which you could easily travel to to meet, see the kennel, and meet the parents...good luck with your search!

meething the parents are a big thing to me thats really the deal breaker in my eyes i have learned that from owing pits.  i would love to hear personal expierces with this breed i use to love listening to the storys my grandfather would tell me about his CC he owned when he lived in italy.
