Title: Hello from Maryland
Post by: sharon on January 31, 2009, 12:44:10 PM
Hi to everyone! My name is Sharon and i live in Maryland,US.I have a 6 month blue male.Unluckely i found this forum and real corso people little too late-thats my story in short: i wanted a corso for couple years, but i been moving a lot (from Ukraine to Israel then to US) finely im living in one place and couple years without dog was too much for me (i has a rotweilers before) so i rushed to get a corso. My mistake.I contacted a breeder from Kentaky and again my misstake, purshased a puppy-the only reason i got a puppy only from the picture is the breeder "got" me with stories, she was very nice, she told me they shipping puppies all over around the world and a lot of people buying dogs like that and more and more.I rushed-i wanted a puppy so bad.Anyway he arrived. With one dewclaw removed and one not,a scar on one leg, couple more issues, that been fixed allready.Offcourse she didnt told me nothing about it before and i coudnt reach her for 2 month and that what she write me now:
My husband mailed your puppy pack, but did not put enough postage on so they returned them to us.  I will get them back in the mail this afternoon.  I checked with AKC and the dewclaws can be intact or removed.  I also checked with Chuck and he said he DID have them removed so the one there must have not been taken off good and grew back through the skin. The scar was so little,Chuck sad it will be unvisual.Chauk is the vet.
Anyway after i met with Wella (from the forum) in Israel i understood thats my puppy is faraway from to be correct cane corso. He is loved and will be loved, but im looking forward to learn more about the breed and to get another one with no rush-learned my misstake.
All the dogs i seen in this forum are so beautifful!! Wella have awesome dogs-they are much more gorgeus then on the pictures!!
Nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the forum from Connecticut, USA. This whole dog thing is a continued learning process. I believe we've all been through it at some point or another. Glad you're here.

Hi Sharon,
So sorry to hear this story again.  It's very common and applies to so many breeds.  As someone said earlier, the most important thing now is that you love you pup and in time you will be able to get another that will be awesome in all of the areas that you want.  You'll be more educated next time and you're taking the time to tell your story to help educate others as well.  Welcome to the forum.  Great place to learn about the Corso.
Jen

Welcome! I got my puppy from a breeder in Kentucky in Sept. 2008 although I could not ask for a better puppy, I was not satisfied with the breeder. What was the name of the breeder you got your puppy from? Also very handsome pup.
